Position Profile

The Club

Minnesota Valley Country Club is an exceptional golf and social facility established in 1924 and located in Bloomington, Minnesota in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The Club features an outstanding, classic Seth Reynor style golf course designed for true golf satisfaction. The Par 73 course has a rolling terrain with undulating greens and is noted for its excellent grooming and superb drainage qualities. Four feature holes are unique and challenging. The tree-lined course is enhanced by native grasses and wildflowers enjoyable to players and obliging to wildlife. It is the first golf course in Minnesota to be designated as a Cooperative Sanctuary by the Audubon Society and has been ranked No. 1 in the North Central Region by the Environmental Steward Award panel of judges.

In April, 1998, MVCC opened the doors of their beautiful new 32,000 square foot Clubhouse. The facility features a charming formal dining room, an informal full-service grill, a family-style dining room, banquet room, and outdoor food and beverage service on two decks overlooking the golf course. Theme parties are planned for members several times during the year and live entertainment is featured on Friday and Saturday nights. The facility can accommodate up to 350 guests for special events. Over the years, MVCC has developed a fine reputation for catering to special groups for weddings, business meetings, class reunions, and other events. The Club is not available for member use on Mondays and is scheduled an average of two to three times per month for use by companies and other organizations. These outings utilize most of the facilities, including the golf course, pro shop, and banquet facilities.

A variety of golf events and activities are planned for members each season. The tournaments at MVCC are among the best organized in the club industry and professional and amateur tournament events have been held at the Club. Amenities for golf members include a well-appointed pro shop, recognized for the past three years as one of “America’s 100 Best Golf Shops”, spacious men's and women's locker rooms, club storage, and exceptional practice facilities.
